Interpretation:
Adenocarcinoma, endometrial
Cytomorphologic Criteria:
Cluster of small cells with enlarged round or oval nuclei, small nucleoli and vacuolated cytoplasm in a background of "watery" diathesis.
Explanatory Notes:
In cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma on conventional smears, tumor diathesis, if present, is watery and more difficult to appreciate.
