Cytomorphologic Criteria:
Immature cells have high N:C ratios and irregular nuclear contours.

Explanatory Notes:
Such cells may be seen in atrophy, but the differential includes a high grade lesion. Repeat sampling following a course of estrogen may clarify the findings.
