Clinical History: 46 year old female
Interpretation:
Atypical glandular cells, favor neoplastic
Cytomorphologic Criteria: Loose aggregate of cells with round or oval variably-sized nuclei, granular evenly distributed chromatin, nucleoli, and nuclear membrane irregularities. The cytoplasm is scant and poorly defined.
Explanatory Notes: The most common significant pathology associated with atypical glandular cells (NOS or endocervical origin) is squamous neoplasia, especially HSIL.
Follow-up: Squamous cell carcinoma, non-keratinizing
