Adenocarcinoma, endocervical

Cytomorphologic Criteria:
Cluster of cells with large round or oval nuclei, irregular chromatin and prominent nucleoli. Cytoplasm is poorly defined and finely vacuolated. Bloody smear background.

Explanatory Notes:
Prominent or macronucleoli and tumor diathesis are classic findings in invasive adenocarcinoma of the endocervix.
