Interpretation:
NILM: Fungal organisms, consistent with Candida spp.

Cytomorphologic Criteria:
Pseudohyphae formed by elongated budding yeast showing constrictions along their length. There is also spearing of epithelial cells and an inflammatory background.

Explanatory Notes:
Pseudohyphae should be distinguished from mucus strands.
